Objective

I seek to use my skills and abilities to help protect and preserve the wild places of the world and to aid people in reconnecting with these wild places.

Wilderness Skills

I have sought out time to connect with wilderness all of my life. In so doing I have picked up various skills useful in the wilds. e.g. shelter building, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, canoeing, tracking, foraging, and wilderness awareness are a few examples of the skills I am continually learning.

I have developed these skills in a wide array of environments found across the Americas. After a time, I became aware of the need to settle down in a place that I could deeply connect with, and thereby grow to intimately understand.

While many places are dear to my heart the old wilderness of the Northwoods of the Superior Uplands are where I have settled. The lakes, rivers, bogs, woods, and those who call this area home, are whom I have dedicated the rest of my life to understanding and protecting.

Computer Skills

I possess very strong skills in UNIX C programming, UNIX system administration, and computer security. I am skilled in systems integration, engineering, and testing. I also maintain a variety of other skills such as web administration, Microsoft systems administration, network administration, database administration, and customer support.

Counted among my programming skills are C/SQL, artificial intelligence, data acquisition and analysis, as well as real time control systems. I am also versed in web, and network programming. I have over 15 years of professional technical experience.
